Evangelism is the foremost pursuit of mission work. It is the first priority of
the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19-20). While we strongly believe that God is
sovereign in all things - to include the salvation of men's souls, we also
strongly believe that every person is responsible to believe and obey the Gospel
(Acts 17:30). Additionally, we believe that each Christian is responsible to do
the work of evangelism (2 Tim. 4:5). Our duty is not to attempt to qualify a
sinner but rather, we are to take the Gospel to "every creature" (Mark
16:15). The good news of Jesus Christ is to be freely offered to all men, for
all have the same spiritual condition and need of a savior (Rom. 3:23). Our
intention is to be used as the mouth piece of God in taking the urgent message
of Christ to the people of Peru South America (Rom. 10:14).
Church Planting
The second stage of
the great commission is the formation of a local, visible, New Testament church
(Matt. 28:19-20). The Bible is clear that the local visible church on Earth is
to be the pillar and ground of Gods truth (1Tim 3:15) . We believe that
it is through the local church that God is pleased to manifest His glory (Eph.
3:21). God loves the institution of the church so much that he sent His only son, the Lord Jesus
Christ, to shed His very own blood for it (Eph. 5:25). Our intention is to be
used of God to organize indigenous self sustaining Baptist churches which will
then be pastored by national Peruvian men.
Leadership Training
We believe the final
stage of mission work is to equip the saints to do the work of of the ministry
(Matt. 28:19-20). While on Earth Jesus spent most of His ministry working
closely with twelve men (later to become eleven), who would eventually take
leadership roles and responsibilities in His absence. Even as far back as the
time of Moses, God has always encouraged delegation of duty to those who were
qualified and faithful stewards (Ex. 18:21) (Tit. 1:5). Our long term desire is
to conduct formal training for those that God would call into the ministry, and
if possible, found a Bible college suited for preparing the next generation of
leadership for the Lord's work in Peru.
